Our innovation is rooted in advanced lithium isotope research for fusion nuclear technology—a field that demands the highest levels of precision and efficiency. Building on this expertise, we’ve developed a proprietary process centered around electrodialysis, a game-changing approach for lithium extraction.

While electrodialysis has long been used in other industries, no DLE company today fully leverages its potential for lithium extraction. At Licube, we’ve not only adapted this technology but enhanced it to achieve faster, more energy-efficient lithium recovery.

The Science Behind Licube’s Technology

Our core methodology is inspired by the work outlined in the groundbreaking research paper:

“A three-electrode dual-power-supply electrochemical pumping system for fast and energy-efficient lithium extraction and recovery from solutions.”

This paper describes a system that uses lithium lanthanum titanate (LLTO) membranes in a novel three-electrode configuration powered by dual power supplies. Here’s why it matters:

    •    Precision and Selectivity: The system selectively targets lithium ions, we will directly generate battery-grade lithium hydroxide without any post-treatment.

    •    Enhanced Speed: By driving ions at higher transfer rates, Licube’s technology able to process a large amount of brine per day.

    •    Energy Efficiency: This innovative approach significantly lowers the operational energy requirements compared to conventional extraction methods.
