Licube Inc. has been awarded 1st place in the Advanced Manufacturing, Materials & Other Advanced Technologies track at the 2026 Rice Alliance Energy Venture Pitch Competition during CERAWeek in Houston.
Selected as “Most Promising” from a field of 57 energy-technology companies representing six countries and 12 U.S. states, Licube was recognized for its technological innovation, investability, and potential to significantly impact the energy industry. Participating ventures have collectively raised over $707 million in funding.
The two-day event — organized by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, the Houston Energy Transition Initiative (HETI), and the Texas Exchange for Energy and Climate Entrepreneurship (TEX-E) — featured pitch presentations, one-on-one investor office hours with nearly 50 investors, and an awards ceremony with a keynote by Melanie Nakagawa, Chief Sustainability Officer at Microsoft.
Licube’s electrodialysis-based platform for ultra-high-purity lithium production and lithium isotope separation continues to attract global attention as demand grows for advanced materials in batteries, semiconductors, fusion energy, and aerospace.
