NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) has listed Licube’s project as an ongoing demonstration theme under its International Demonstration Project on Japan’s Technologies for Decarbonization and Energy Transition.
The project is titled “Demonstration Study of an Electrodialysis Refining System for Crude Lithium Derived from Oilfield Produced Water”. Licube and Licube Texas LLC carry out the work in the United States from 2025 to 2029.
NEDO selected Licube for the front-end engineering design phase of this program in 2025. The project has now entered the demonstration phase.
